Quick Cleaning Tip

I don't like to think of myself as someone who is easily grossed out, but there is something about dirty kitchens, especially stoves, sinks, ovens, and microwaves that make my skin crawl. When I just a little girl, I loved helping the hostess of the party get drinks, refresh appetizers, set the table, prepare the food, and the list goes on! There was a particular time when we were at one of our family friend's house for dinner and I was helping in the kitchen and went to open the microwave to heat something up and thought a science experiment was growing inside! No joke. Keep in mind I was probably between 8 to 10 years old at the time. It was from that day forward that I appreciated my Mom's thoroughness when she cleans.

If the inside of your microwave resembles a science experiment or you struggle to keep it sparkling clean, I am here to help! Because think about it, if I was grossed out by the inside of a microwave when I was just a little girl, imagine what goes through your guests mind when they go to use your microwave and loose their appetite!

Tip: Let lemon infused steam do the work of cleaning your microwave.

Here's how it works:.

Place about two cups of water into a microwave safe bowl. Squeeze juice from half a lemon into the bowl and place lemon half in the water. Microwave on high 5 to 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes with the door closed. Wipe inside of the microwave clean with a dish cloth or paper towel--the work is done!

How easy is that?
